Amina Khalid has been working as an English Language Lecturer in Institute of Communication & Cultural Studies since 2011. Currently, she is working on her MS Applied Linguistics thesis which is about textbook evaluation. She earned her MSc degree in Applied Linguistics from University of Management & Technology in 2010. Her areas of interest are Second Language Acquisition and syllabus and material designing. She did Cambridge CELTA course from Berlin School of English Germany in 2012. In this course, she learnt the principles of effective teaching and gained a range of practical skills for teaching English to adult learners. She got the opportunity to teach the adult learners from varied cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds such as, German, Polish, Russian and Turkish. Highly practical in nature, the course provided her not only with an understanding and awareness of the state-of-the-art teaching methodologies, but also the opportunity to put them into practice by teaching real classes at international level.
