I have earned an MPhil. degree in Applied Linguistics from Kinnaird College for Women. From the beginning, I was very interested in language that’s why I chose Linguistics to accomplish my goals. I was extremely eager about the complexity and the variation of language from culture to culture and region to region. My desire to look language from various angles pushed me to study Linguistics.

I joined UMT as a Lecturer in October 2012. I always wanted to work in an extensive environment to get experience and to meet performance challenges and this place is helping me in the similar way. I have done two internships before this position in other fields.

My area of interest involves linguistics, discourse analysis, conversational analysis and intercultural communication. I have completed two dissertations in Masters and M.Phil. respectively.

I have attended formal and informal training sessions regarding phonetics and phonology, preparing research papers, filmmaking, drama, curriculum development, lesson planning, test construction, life in academia and managing learner’s issues.
