The Institute of Liberal Arts at UMT is a multifarious seat of learning that aims to inspire new thinking and generate novel ideas in its students for the reformation of societal thought and communal progress. It endeavors to prepare students to develop command over a range of disciplines such as literature, languages, philosophy, history, cultural studies, and theoretical sciences by honing their innate sense of inquiry and instigating their curiosity to seek solutions to society’s problems. The institute promises to create a new generation of thinkers, writers, and a robust intelligentsia.
