Instructors’ Profile

Sidra Haroon

A dedicated doctoral researcher in English Linguistics with over a decade of teaching experience, I am investigating the complexities of semantic prosody through a combined qualitative and quantitative approach. With a strong foundation in linguistic theory and methodology, I have supervised eight MPhil scholars and twelve BS students, fostering a passion for language research among the next generation of linguists. Notably, one of my students successfully completed a thesis in the domain of computational linguistics, demonstrating my ability to guide students in interdisciplinary and computational linguistics research.

My research aims to uncover the subtle nuances of language by employing both traditional linguistic analysis and computational techniques. With a growing publication record of sixteen HEC-recognized articles and an H-index of two, I am committed to advancing the field of linguistics through rigorous research and scholarly contributions.
