On May 22nd, 2024, at 2 pm, the CFL Literary Society launched its inaugural event with a hypnotizing performance that reimagined Shakespearean tragedy for the modern audience. Students and faculty converged to witness a dynamic rendition of timeless classics, where participants breathed new life into familiar tales of revenge, betrayal, and ambition.
With each scene, the audience was transported into the heart of Shakespearean drama, where traditional themes seamlessly intertwined with contemporary relevance. The event's resounding success not only showcased the talent and dedication of its participants but also signaled the beginning of an exciting journey for the CFL Literary Society, promising future endeavors that will continue to captivate and inspire.
Feud Debates
On 7th of June, 2024, the CFL Debating Club debuted as a platform for feud debates. The event started with the round of semi-final in which four teams competed to defend different economic systems, Command Economy, Market Economy, Mixed Economy, and Traditional Economy, best suited for the prosperity of the world. The semi-finals displayed the extensive research and knowledge students garnered under the supervision of their respective team leaders.
The event also included musical performance to rejuvenate the spirits of the debaters for the final round which was based on the topic “whether art should be monitored for censorship”. The final round exhibited the utmost respect the young generation has for art and freedom of expression and speech.
The success of the event showcased the talent and dedication of the students, providing the basis of a new promise - the CFL Debating Club expanding the horizon of debates and discussions. The Center for Languages is proud to have launched a platform that cultivates critical thinking and proliferates discourse among young minds.
